Seafood Chowder

SERVES: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes – chopped
  • 3 stalks Celery diced
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 2 qts milk or half & half
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Sauté celery and potatoes for 5 minutes stirring constantly.  Heat half & half, butter and salt and pepper and add vegetables to pot.  Heat together – turn heat to med/low and add seafood mix.  Cook low till flavors collide.  Salt & pepper to taste.   

Notes

If you prefer a thicker chowder, add 1/2 cup flour to 1 cup of liquid from pan. Mix together then pour back into chowder – stir. Another option is to add 3/4 cups of instant mashed potatoes to chowder.
